Empowering communities to live a healthy, sustainable life, through locally grown food.

Growing Food

At The Green Haven Project (GHP) we offer a space for individuals and families to connect with nature, learn about gardening, and harvest their own organic produce. Join us in our green oasis to experience the joy of growing your own food and contributing to a sustainable future. Located in Overtown, Miami, this grassroots initiative is dedicated to cultivating sustainable urban gardens that disrupt food deserts and foster healthier, more self-sufficient neighborhoods.

Nourish

The word nourish embodies more than just feeding the body—it speaks to sustaining life, cultivating growth, and fostering well-being. In the context of gardening, community, and green spaces, nourish reflects the act of tending to the earth with care, growing fresh, locally produced food that feeds both people and neighborhoods. It encompasses building connections, restoring ecosystems, and creating access to healthy, vibrant spaces where individuals and communities can thrive together. Through locally grown produce and shared green spaces, nourish becomes a powerful expression of resilience, equity, and collective healing.

Build Community

Building community means creating spaces where people feel connected, supported, and empowered—and that’s at the heart of what The Green Haven Project does. With your support, the project is expanding its reach, fostering a stronger community, and delivering impactful programming that nourishes both the land and the people who call it home.
